Candidate Races
The race for the new District 21-B seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives between veteran incumbent Steve Drazkowski and newcomer Bruce Montplaisir is focusing on balancing the state budget and job creation.
Republican Drazkowski of Mazeppa, who has served in the legislature since his election in 2007, says he wants to go back to the capital to continue his efforts to see the state live within its means and put forth a future now for the children of tomorrow.
Democrat Montplaisir is the retired 12-year superintendent of the Lewiston-Altura school district who says his long career in education has given him the experience of balancing budgets and working with people.
District 21-B includes portions of Winona, Wabasha, and Goodhue County.....
