The Winona High boys’ soccer team was upset last night last in the Section 1A quarterfinals losing to Albert Lea 1-0 in a shootout. The Winhawks came in as the third seed but lost to the sixth seeded Tigers despite beating them 4-1 during the regular season. Winona High finishes the season 10-5-2.

The Winona High girls lost to Byron in double overtime 2-1 in the section quarterfinals. The Winhawks played much better yesterday then they did in a 4-0 loss to the Bears during the regular season. Autumn Beckman scored the lone goal for the Winhawks as they finish the season 6-10-2.
