The Trempealeau County Sheriff says his department is willing to offer coverage of Galesville temporarily in the wake of the suspension of two Galesville police officers.
The Trempealeau County Times says Sheriff Richard Anderson told the county's law enforcement-emergency management committee, his department is willing to assist in covering the City of Galesville if needed.
Police officers John Kamrowski and James Brudos are currently on suspension for alleged violations of city policies and other conduct. They could face dismissal. They also face a hearing on the issues in Whitehall on November 19th.
Anderson told the committee his department has a limited number of deputies but could assist the city if needed.
