The condition of a 21 year old Winona man authorities believe was involved in a dispute between Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packer-backers has had his condition upgraded.
The Post Bulletin of Rochester reports the man, as of Thursday, was in fair condition at St. Mary's Hospital.
Winona authorities said it's believed the man sustained a fractured skull in the incident that occurred near Ninth nd Franklin Streets early last Sunday. A dispute between apparent Vikings and Packers fans broke out in the street when one group of people confronted a second group.
Police said a witness claimed the Winona man was hit and kicked by as many as three people during the melee that may have involved between 50 and 60 people...most of whom fled the scene when officers arrived. No arrests have been announced in the incident.
