WSHS Volleyball Donation

In conjunction with their Service Learning Class, the Winona Senior High varsity volleyball team hosted a "Dig Pink" fundraiser to benefit local women through Winona Health's Mammography Department.

Sarah Moyer, a senior on the team, had the idea to focus on breast cancer awareness with the goal of having the team's efforts to make a difference in at least one woman's life.

On October 4th, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month team members wore pink headbands and shoelaces to honor those that have fought through the disease as well as those who have lost their battle.

Through donations at the game, they raised $800 for the cause.
