Car vs Horse



The Sheriff's Department says a horse was killed south of Lewiston Friday after it was struck by a vehicle.
                  
Investigator Kraig Glover said a vehicle driven eastbound on County Road 6 struck the horse that was in the roadway.  The horse died at the scene.
                   
Glover said about 15 horses owned by William Yoder had gotten loose. None of the others were injured.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Daniel Richard Peters of Lewiston.  The incident was reported just after 6:00 a.m.
