Wabasha Lottery Winner

The Minnesota State Lottery says a Wabasha man is a big winner and he purchased his winning ticket in Winona.

The Lottery says Bruce Barton won 100,000 in the Crossword Extra scratch game.  Barton purchased his ticket at the Sinclair station on Huff and Riverview Drive in Winona on October 11th.

The Lottery says Barton was in Winona at the time to attend a wedding.  When his wife arrived he showed her the ticket that contained ten words and said he thought he won $100,000.

The couple put the ticket under their mattress that night and slept on it.  They claimed their prize the next day at Lottery headquarters in Roseville.
