Whitehall native Callista Gingrich has a new book out that will help children learn more about the history of the United States.
                   
Called,  'Land of the Pilgrims Pride,' Gingrich says its the second book where 'Ellis the Elephant,' discovers how America began with the 13 original colonies.  Gingrich is the wife of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.  She says it's important for kids to learn about American history at an early age.

Gingrich told Winona Radio News Winona is a special place for her because she has had family here and her parents were married in Winona.  Gingrich will be at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in the Valley View Mall in La Crosse Thursday signing copies of her book starting at 6:00 p.m.
