Truck Crash

The Minnesota State Patrol says the southbound lanes of Highway 52 in Olmsted County had to be shut down for about three hours Monday when a semi truck overturned and spilled a load of corn.

Authorities said the truck was southbound on Highway 52 and took the ramp to go to Highway 63 when it went out of control and tipped over.  Corn was spilled on the Highway 63 ramp and Highway 52.

The driver, identified as 52-year-old Kevin Sjoquist of Red Wing, sustained minor injuries.  The crash was reported at 6:22 a.m. and the highway was reopened at 9:10 a.m.
