Drug Charges

A 21 year old Winona man was jailed early Sunday on drug charges.

Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said officers were called to the area near Maxwell Hall on the Winona State University campus just before 2:00 a.m. where they found WSU security officers holding Griffin Hall Foster.  Williams said Hall was taken to Winona Health where he became unruly and during a search police turned up Schedule Four drugs in his possession.

Williams said Foster was uncooperative and was taken to the Winona County Jail were he was being held while the county attorney's office reviews the case for possible formal charges.  Foster was being held on suspicion of fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and obstructing the legal process.
