One of two women charged in connection with the death of a Trempealeau man has had her bond reduced.
The Whitehall County Times says the bond for 26 year old Tasha Kempfer of La Crosse was reduced in Trempealeau County Circuit Court from $10,000 to $2500.
Kempfer, and 44 year old Michelle Johnson of Galesville, are facing first degree reckless homicide charges in connection with the death of Jeremiah Harris who was found dead at a Trempealeau residence in July of 2011. An autopsy revealed Harris had died from a heroin overdose.
Kempfer and Johnson are both accused of supplying the heroin for Harris. Johnson has had her request for reduced bond denied. The two are facing as much as 40 years in prison if convicted.
