Another Red Cross volunteer from Winona has been deployed to the east coast to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy which left much destruction in its wake.
The Red Cross says Tom Lee will be working as a supervisor in government relations. He will be coordinating Red Cross services with local, state, and federal government partners and agencies to help use available resources as efficiently as possible.
Lee will also supervise other Red Cross volunteers who are filling similar roles. He joins two other Winonans, Gayle Gorman and Carole Madland, who were deployed to the east coast earlier this week.
If you would like to help out you can do it online or by text, and even by telephone. You can visit redcross.org, call 800-Red Cross, or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Extra donations of blood are also needed.
