If you are not sure where to vote you can call the Winona County Auditor-Treasurer's office or go to the Minnesota Secretary of State's website. You are invited to listen for live updates on the results starting at 8:00 p.m. on Winona Radio stations KWNO-AM, KG-95 and KHME-101 FM.
In Winona, a new mayor will be elected to fill the shoes of retiring Mayor Jerry Miller...along with three city council seats that will be on the ballot. Two Winona County Board seats are also on the ballot along with three seats on the Winona Area Public School Board.
Goodview will also be getting a new mayor where Jack Weimerskirsch chose not to run again after 22 years in the position. Councilman Steve Baumgart is unopposed for the mayor's seat. Four people are running for two seats on the Goodview city council.
Four seats are on the ballot for the Winona County Soil and Water Conservation District Board. Other contested elections are in the cities of Altura, St. Charles, Stockton, Dakota, and Minnesota City.
In Houston County there are two seats on the Houston County Board being contested, and in Wabasha County one seat on the County Board is also being contested that could change the balance of power on that board.
