Locally, voters will elect Senators in new Districts 21 and 28 in the Winona area, along with House Districts 21 A and B, plus 28 A and B.
On the federal level, voters will decide on U S Senator seats from both Minnesota and Wisconsin. All eight congressional seats in Minnesota are on the ballot, including the First District seat which encompasses a large area of southern Minnesota that includes Winona County. Wisconsin's Third District seat, which includes much of Western Wisconsin, is also on the ballot.
Minnesota also has two constitutional amendments on the a ballot including one that would place the definition of marriage, already in Minnesota law, into the constitution...and the other requiring an ID to vote.
La Crosse's Western Technical College will seek approval of a nearly $80 million bond referendum. The proceeds would be used to upgrade and expand buildings and facilities on the college's La Crosse campus.
