Winona Police said two persons have been charged with controlled substance crimes after officers went to a local motel.
                    
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said police went to the Sugar Loaf Motel at 9;20 p.m. Wednesday on a report that someone was there who was wanted on a warrant.  Arrested and placed in jail were  28 year old Allison Marjorie Tjossem of Winona and 39 year old Donny Alan Lord.
                   
Both were cited with obstruction and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lord was also cited with a 5th degree controlled substance violation and Tjossem was cited with 4th degree drug possession.  Williams said officers discovered items in the motel room that contained a white powder that tested positive for cocaine.      
                   
Both Lord and Tjossem had warrants out for their arrests other unrelated charges.
