HIMSS Analytics has announced Winona Health has achieved Stage 6 on the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adoption ModelSM.
 
As of last month, only 6.7 percent, or 437, of more than 5,300 US hospitals tracked have achieved Stage 6. The EMR Adoption Model was developed in 2005 as a method for evaluating the progress and impact of electronic medical record systems for hospitals in the HIMSS Analytics' Database.

Rachelle Schultz, Winona Health president/CEO, says for more than 10 years, Winona Health has been one of the pioneers in implementing an integrated Electronic Medical Record. Schultz says this achievement reflects the ongoing efforts of the entire team including administration, IT staff, healthcare providers and clinicians.
