The Trempealeau County Board of Supervisors Tuesday is expected to act on a 2013 county budget that will see property taxes in the county go down.
The Trempealeau County Times reports the board will review a proposed budget of nearly $54 million, down about $10 million from the 2012 budget that was approved a year ago.
Property values in Trempealeau County saw an increase thanks to the frac sand mining operation near Blair. That operation increased the total valuation of the Town of Preston by 26%, according to the paper. The operation was then annexed into the City of Blair
