According to the Post-Bulletin of Rochester Springer gained one vote from his earlier 4-vote victory and defeated incumbent Merle Norman 1124 votes to 1119. The District 3 recount in the hotly contested race was conducted at he Wabasha County Courthouse.
The newspaper indicates Norman may take some legal action or check with the Secretary of State's office databases to determine the eligibility of election day voters.
