A former Wabasha-Kellogg special education teacher has been found not guilty of assaulting a vulnerable adult student.
                
The Wabasha County Herald reports that 28-year-old Nicole Jean Lyon of Winona, was cleared of the charges by a Wabasha County Jury after a three day trial.  The jury deliberated for about three hours.
                
The Wabasha-Kellogg School District terminated Lyon's contract last June 20th, after the parents of the alleged victim filed a complaint.  The complaint was filed last May and accused Lyon of assaulting the female student in a classroom.
