Third District Wisconsin Congressman Ron Kind says Congress needs to work out a compromise on the budget before reaching the so-called 'fiscal cliff' on January First.
Kind told a Winona Radio audience there is time to reach a deal because spending reductions would take place over ten years and tax changes would not be felt for another year when taxes are do. Kind says a budget deal is the answer.
Kind, a Democrat who was re-elected last week, said the only way to fix the deficit is to add revenue and decrease spending and everyone needs to pitch in. Kind said some 80 CEOs of large companies have sent a letter to Congress seeking a balanced approach to fixing the deficit.
