Verizon Wireless activated its 4G-LTE network in Winona Friday with a formal grand opening of its new store and a ribbon cutting.
              
The store is located at 930 Frontenac Drive and marketing consultant Brent Nelson said the company now has over 419 markets in the nation with the 4G-LTE technology, more than any other competitors combined.

On hand for the grand opening was Winona City Manager Judy Bodway along with the Winona Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors who cut the ribbon welcoming Verizon to its new location.  Verizon also announced it was giving the Women's Resource Center of Winona a $6150 donation.
