The award comes from the Government Finance Officers Association of the U-S and Canada, and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The award was presented to the city's Finance Department and Finance Director Mary Burrichter.
An impartial panel determines which governments reach the high standards of the program.
