Jefferson Elementary School held a special event Monday to give parents and the community a chance to see what projects their students have been working on.
The Monarch Fair put on by students in the Science,Technology, Engineering and Mathematics program at the school gives them an opportunity to display their work and research.
Eric Paulsen, 4th grade teacher in the STEM program, says the 4th graders have created stop animation movies to explain the life cycle of the Monarch.
Paulsen says the movie project is fun for the students and is a great team working concept.
The 4th graders projects were shown in the school's gymnasium while the kindergarten through 3rd grade colorful projects were displayed in the hallways.
