A new member was sworn in Monday night for the Winona City Council. Pamela Eyden took her third ward seat at the council table after councilmembers formally approved her appointment. Eyden was elected on November 6th.
Eyden fills the seat that was held by Deb Salyards who passed away last summer. The council decided to seat Eyden immediately instead of waiting until January when she would have normally taken office.
Paul Double, and Mark Peterson will join the council in January. Double was elected to an at-large seat to replace Debbie White and Peterson will take over for Mayor Jerry Miller who will retire after 16 years in office.
