In case you are wondering about making that donation to the United Way of the Greater Winona Area this year keep in mind the organization has a new focus this year.  Executive Director Beth Moe says some 25% of the funds raised will be going to early childhood education support plus new and expanded programming focused on families and children.  But despite that, Moe says funds will also be going to the United Way's traditional partners.

Moe says some of the funds will go to establishing a new family room at the Maxwell Children's Center on the Winona State University campus and for assistance in transportation for some of the children so they can get to the early childhood programs.
