Spring Grove Highway Project

Bruce Poole, who won the Spring Grove mayoral election this month running on a platform against major work on Highway 44 through town, may sue the city and existing council because the project will go on anyway.

The Post-Bulletin reports that Poole's attorney, wrote a letter to the city asking for written confirmation that no further action be taken on the Main Street project until the new mayor and council take their new seats.

The letter also states that Poole will take legal action to halt the project if his request is not met.

Poole's group, Concerned Citizens of Spring Grove, was formed because of concerns about the cost and scope of the project. In additition to Poole, the group ran two candidates for council and won both elections.
