Coley--Theft Charges

Winona police said a 19-year-old man was jailed Tuesday on preliminary charges of felony theft and receiving stolen property.

Deputy Police chief Tom Williams said Isaac Semaj Coley, who has no permanent address, was cited with stealing two phones from the Gamestop store on Frontenac Drive which were valued at $589.  Williams said the theft charge became a felony because Coley had been arrested earlier on a shoplifting charge at the ShopKo store where he was accused of allegedly taking a pair of headpones.

Coley was jailed pending a review of both cases by the county attorney's office.
