Upper Iowa hit a last second shot and shocked the ninth ranked Winona State men Saturday night 64-63 at McCown Gymnasium. Tucker Wentzien scored a layup as time expired to give the Peacocks the win. Winona State had a six point lead with 30 seconds left but the Warriors gave the game away with two turnovers in the final minute.
Clayton Vette scored 14 points to lead Winona State as the Warriors fall to 6-2. This was the NSIC opener for both teams.
