ORC Laundry

ORC Industries plans to start a new commercial laundry business next summer. Spokesman Todd Olsen says the Board of Directors has approved the project after a successful $1.2 million fundraising campaign.

Olsen told Winona Radio News the business will be good for the ORC's employees. Olsen said the business will be staffed by 24 to 26 ORC employees and run six days a week. He says it will focus mostly on cleaning healthcare linens.

Plans are for archtectural drawings for the changover to be completed by about January First, with construction started about February First, and an opening about June First. The facility will be 9200 square feet in size and occupy space in the current location that will no longer be used.
