City Tax Levy

No one spoke at the public hearing the Winona City Council held Monday on the city's proposed 2013 budget and property tax levy.

City Manager Judy Bodway explained the 1.2-percent levy increase over 2012 is due mainly to a pair of large infrastructure projects, the bike path and airport improvements

The proposed budget is just under $38,500,000. The proposed tax levy is about $6,607,000.

The council will vote on the budget and levy at their final meeting of the year, December 17th.
