Cotter High School says two seniors were selected as this year's winners of the AAA award that recognizes student achievement in athletics, academics and the arts. Selected as winners were Paige Gernes and Jacob Johnson.
Other nominees were Courtney Brandel and Joana Beyer along with Joe Koll and John DeMarais. Gernes and Johnson will now move on to represent Cotter at the regional level.
Each nominee must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, participate in league sponsored athetics and fine arts activities. All six of this year's Cotter noiminees carry 4.0 grade point averages.
