In area basketball action Tuesday, the Rushford-Peterson boys nearly pulled off an upset in their first game of the season losing to ninth ranked Plainview-Elgin-Millville 90-81 in overtime.   Elsewhere Lewiston-Altura beat Wabasha-Kellogg 68-31, G-E-T drilled West Salem 71-40 and Arcadia beat Osseo-Fairchild 49-42.

In area girls’ action, Wabasha-Kellogg got its first win beating Lewiston-Altura 63-47. The Falcons didn’t win a game all last season.

Rushford-Peterson lost to Plainview-Elgin-Millville 61-50, Arcadia blew out Viroqua 54-34 and Cochrane-Fountain City lost to Onalaska Luther 52-43.
