Drug Charges

A 28-year-old Rochester woman was jailed in Winona Tuesday after she was cited with preliminary charges of fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanors.

Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said Niciole Allyson Portillo was cited after a traffic stop at Broadway and Market Streets just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday

Police discovered Portillo to allegedly be in possession of a vial and a smoking device that both contained a substance that tested positive for cocaine.

Police also learned that Portillo was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Rochester for another drug charge.
Portillo was jailed pending a review of the case by the county attorney's office.
