Planning Commission-Frac Sand
The Winona City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing next Monday, December 10th on the draft final report on its frac sand moratorium study.
Since last spring the commission has been reviewing various issues regarding a number of proposed sand processing and hauling proposals in the city.
The draft report is broken down in four amendements ... mining ordinances, which includes air quality monitoring and number of trucks allowed to haul each day, moisture testing, sand processing and transportation and transportation and road wear.
The commission meets at 4:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. Following the public hearing the next step would be to present the draft report to the City Council for final approval.
