SE-Tech-Toys

Next Monday, December 10th, two semi-trucks from Southeast Technical will head off into separate directions loaded with toys, clothing and furniture to deliver to the Santee Sioux reservation in Nebraska and the Crow Creek Indian reservation in South Dakota.

The students and faculty will depart Southeast Technical at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2012 to pick up the trailers in Rochester and deliver them to the reservations.
In addition, Nate Emerson, VP Student Affairs and Jim Johnson, College President, will load up a pickup truck with supplies Monday morning  and head to the Crow Creek reservation.

Some years ago the college established a relationship with these two tribes through the Winona Dakota Unity Alliance and has been bringing loads of toys, clothes and furniture every December since. Over the years a few students from these reservations were awarded Presidential Scholarships to Southeast Technical.
