Big Second Half Leads St. Thomas Men to Easy Win Against SMU



The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team hung with fifth ranked St. Thomas for a half before falling 101-63. The Cardinals trailed by six at halftime but were outscored 62-30 in the second half. Saint Mary’s shot 55 percent from the field, including 65 percent in the first half, but they turned it over 34 times.

Michael Burfeind had a season high 24 points to lead Saint Mary’s while Evan Pederson added 11 points. Saint Mary’s drops to 0-6.
