The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team suffered its first loss of the season last night falling to fourth ranked St. Thomas 65-44. The Cardinals actually led 31-30 at the half but shot just 3 of 18 from the field in the second half. St. Thomas went on a 21-2 run early in the second half and took control of the game.

Jamie Stefely led Saint Mary’s with 20 points while Sara Schoenthaler(Show-en-thal-ler) added 11. Saint Mary’s drops to 5-1 overall.
