Rochester Low-Snow Record



Wintry weather has put an end to a low snow stretch in Rochester.  Rochester's 292 day streak of days without at least an inch of snow fell around 6 a.m. Sunday when the airport recorded 1.1 inches.
 
The Post-Bulletin of Rochester reports it was Rochester's fourth-longest low-snow streak on record. The record is 343 days, from March 12th, 1960, to February 17th, 1961.  As of 5:00 a.m. Monday, The Rochester airport had 4.1 inches of snow.

An observer in Winona reported 6.5 inches....in Minnesota City it was 6.3 inches,...La Crescent 6.4 inches....and St. Charles 3.3 inches.  The heaviest amount was reported in Reads Landing with 10.2 inches.
In Wisconsin, Arcadia reported 8 inches...Mondovi 7 inches...Holmen and La Crosse also reported 7 inches.
