Cotter Boys Pull Out Close Win, Hope Lutheran Loses

The Cotter boys’ basketball team pulled out a 53-51 win over Lake City in a battle of unbeaten teams Tuesday night. The Ramblers trailed by ten in the second half before coming back to pick up the win. Kyle Kerrigan came off the bench to lead Cotter with 10 points and 10 rebounds and he hit the game winning shot with twenty seconds left. Matt Schrupp, Jon Eichman and Charlie Kretschmer all added 9 points as the Ramblers move to 3-0.
Hope Lutheran lost big to Lanesboro 86-46 despite 21 points from Andrew Fratzke. The Patriots fall to 3-4 on the season.
Lewiston-Altura won a double overtime thriller in Lewiston last night knocking off Rushford-Peterson 72-71. Josh Ehlenfeldt(E-len-feldt) had 25 points for Lewiston-Altura and Jay Sommers added 22. Austin O’Hare had 18 points for Rushford-Peterson.
Also in area boys’ action, Cochrane-Fountain City beat Gilmanton 63-49. C-FC is 3-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Arcadia is 6-1 after beating Fall Creek 55-44. G-E-T put together another blowout win beating Sparta 58-35. The Red Hawks are 7-0 so far this season.
