The filing period for Wisconsin Spring 2013 elections remains open this month and now is the time for candidates to determine if they are going to run.

The Spring election will be held on April 2nd, and if a primary election is needed that will be held on February 19th.  Candidates must take out nomination papers and secure signatures before they are placed on the ballot. The deadline for returning the nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2nd.

Local offices up for election include, county board supervisors, school board members, and municipal officers such as mayors, alderpersons, city clerks, and village trustees.  On the statewide level the spring election will include the offices of state superintendent of public instruction and circuit court judges.
