Walmart Theft Suspect

Winona Police are looking for a man who they say stole three laptop computers from the Walmart store earlier this month.

Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said the man was caught on store surveillance video entering the store three times on December 5th.  Williams said the man is seen taking one laptop and leaving the store about 5:30 a.m. The video shows him entering the store again about 7:30 a.m. and leaving with two more laptops.

In both cases the man is seen stuffing the devices under his clothing.  He is seen entering a third time but it's not  believed he took anything that time.  The man in the video is in his late 20s or 30s.  The laptop computers had a total value of almost $2400.

Police have not been able to track the man down and are asking for the public's help.  If you have any information  about the man you are asked to call Winona Police or you can call Winona Area Crime Stoppers where you can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward.  Crime Stoppers is 457-6530.
