Officials say the biggest change patients and community members will notice in the coming weeks is the name of the hospital and clinics. Gundersen Lutheran's clinics in Whitehall, Blair and Independence and Tri-County Memorial Hospital will be consolidated under the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics name.
During and after the transition, Tri-County will continue to accept the insurances they currently accept. After the transition, all patients' billing statements will come from the consolidated operation, Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics. There are no plans to reduce overall employment as a result of the affiliation.
Gunderson Vice President Bryan Erdmann said his organization is happy to strengthen that its relationship with Tri-County with a more formal affiliation and the creation of an integrated healthcare system.
Brian Theiler, Tri-County CEO, said he is pleased to take Tri-County's relationship with Gundersen Lutheran to the next level and advance the care provided in the communities Tri-County serves.
