A candidate has filed for an open seat on the Buffalo County Board of Supervisors.
Mary Anne McMillan Urell of the Town of Buffalo has filed her intent to run for the District 14 seat that includes the Towns of Buffalo and Cross. The seat has been vacant since August when David Ernst resigned.
The Cochrane-Fountain City Recorder reports the county board decided, at the time, not to appoint someone to fill the seat but wait, instead, until the spring election which will be held on April 2nd. The winner will serve the remainder of Ersnt's term which is one year.
The filing period for the spring elections in Wisconsin ends on January 2nd. A primary election, if needed, would be held on February 19th.
