Rushford-Peterson School District residents went to the polls on Wednesday and the $15,000,000 bond referendum failed to pass by a wide margin.
According to the district's website, 993 votes, or 60.15%, were against the referendum and 658, or 39.85% voted in favor. A total of 1,651 votes were cast.
The funds would have been used to finance a new pre-school through fifth grade building, plus renovations to the existing high school complex.
