WXOW TV reports that Roger Bergmann of Canton appeared in Fillmore County District Court on Monday where a conditional bond was set at 500-thousand dollars. Unconditional bond was set at one million dollars.
Bergmann is accused of shooting a 49-year-old woman in a Preston residence last Friday. The woman was hospitalized in Rochester with a neck injury.
Bergmann was apprehended Friday afternoon along Winona County Road 12 near Wilson after a Rushford police officer trailed him there. Bergmann was taken into custody following about a 30-minute standoff.
The charges against Bergmann include two counts of attempted murder in the second degree, one count of attempted murder in the third degree, three assault counts, kidnapping and terroristic threats.
He remains in the Fillmore County jail.
