The Cochrane-Fountain City Recorder says the County Board approved a $15,100,000 budget for 2013 that also raises expenses by 4.5 percent. The property tax levy will increase by about $45,500 dollars over the 2012 levy
The board also decided to use $1,100,000 in reserves to balance the budget and fill in the gaps.
The decision to use the budget reserves passed on an 8-to-4 vote.
