A near record number of recordings are expected at the Winona County Recorder's Office Monday, the last day of 2012.
For the year, the number of real estate transactions are up 17 % compared to 2011.
County Recorder Bob Bambenek says there are indications some year-end recordings may be the result of the lack of a fiscal and tax agreement in Washington DC.
