Buffalo County Elections

A town of Naples woman with plans to move into the City of Mondovi has filed intent to run for Buffalo County Board in the city's vacant Dist. 6 seat.

Lou Anne Roby took out candidate nomination papers declaring intent to run in a special election in April to fill the vacancy.

Dist. 6 is located in the city's 3rd Ward where former county board supervisor Dave Eddy did not run for re-election last April. No one else ran for the office.

The special election scheduled on spring election day in April was called by the Buffalo County Board to fill supervisory vacancies in Dist. 6 and Dist. 14.

Mary Anne McMillan Urell of the town of Buffalo has filed intent to seek office in Dist. 14, which includes the towns of Cross and Buffalo.

Roby and McMillan Urell would be running for one-year terms on the county board. Those and 12 other district seats on the county board will come up for election to regular two-year terms again in April of 2014.
The deadline for candidates to file candidacy papers for either of the two seats up for election is  5 p.m. on January 2nd.
