The Cochrane-Fountain City School Board has approved hiring Jim Huffman to work as a full-time computer technology coordinator.
Huffman was employed under a two-year agreement paying $37,000 and rising to $38,000 for the 2013-14 school year.
The position will be under supervision and direction of the school superintendent with duty assignments of managing administrative and educational technology planning and implementation.
In other actions, the school board authorized increasing student breakfast and lunch prices by a dime, effective January 22nd.
The board also reviewed and approved administrative compliance with district policies regarding extracurricular programs and long-range planning.
The district has a job description in place for hiring a full-time building and grounds supervisor to fill a job opening due to employee retirement.
Posting of the position for job applications was scheduled for January 10th and deadline for applications is February 14th.
