Saint Mary's Basketball Teams Take on Gustavus Adolphus Wednesday

The Saint Mary’s men’s and women’s basketball teams play their first games after the holiday break when they take on Gustavus Adolphus. The men will play at home at 7:30 while the women are on the road. The women’s game is a showdown of two of the top teams in the MIAC. Gustavus is tied with St. Thomas for first place in the conference at 5-0 while the Cardinals are a game back at 4-1. Saint Mary’s is 7-1 overall and Gustavus is 6-2.
The Saint Mary’s men are coming off of their first win of the season but that was way back on December 12th. The Cardinals are 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the MIAC and Gustavus is 4-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
Winona High graduate Martin Feddersen is a sophomore on the Gustavus team. Feddersen plays about 20 minutes a game and averages 2.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 asissts. He also leads the team in steals averaging 1.8 per game. Wabasha-Kellogg graduate Jordan Dick is a junior for Gustavus and averages 7.3 points per game.
